Description
The construction optimized on the basis of a scientific life cycle assessment offers an improved CO2 footprint with 30% fewer emissions.
This uses more locally grown poplar wood, but less fiberglass and resin.
In addition, the ski engineers developed waste-reducing sidewalls, which minimizes environmental impact from ski manufacturing.
In the new all-terrain profile, the ratio of wood to fiberglass has been changed, as has the thickness gradient of the ski and thus its torsional stiffness.
The result is an even more versatile ski that copes optimally with all conditions – even hardpacked snow.
The HRZN 3D – a further development of the successful first generation of HRZN Tech – features a chamfered, three-dimensional shovel for better float in powder.
In addition, it works harmoniously with the Dura Cap sidewall and thus enables direct power transfer from the shovel to the sidewalls and edges.
The Backland 88 has slightly more mid-width and brings the necessary dose of stability – for the perfect mix of flow and performance in every terrain.
For the ultimate touring setup, there's a matching Atomic PreFit skin.
HRZN 3D Backland
