Ski Trab Skin Stelvio 85 Mohair Mix

The Ski Trab Skin Stelvio 85 Mohair Mix is a shaped climbing skin with traditional adhesive. Its pile combines 65% mohair and 35% nylon for touring use. The Attivo attachment secures the tip, while the Attivo.2 hook secures the tail. Manufacturer reference 21128 identifies the shaped Mix 85 version, offered in several lengths. As an adhesive skin, it needs a clean, well-maintained contact surface when fitted to the ski.

Selection and use

Compare the ski model, length, sidecut and tip and tail shape before buying. The manufacturer lists Stelvio 85 and Gavia 85 as well as particular Ortles and Magico.2 versions. A similar waist width alone does not confirm fit. Centre the skin on a dry, snow-free base and check that the steel edges remain clear for traversing.

Care and inspection

Keep dirt away from the adhesive and pile. After touring, dry the skins gently as instructed, away from direct heat. Inspect the glue, hooks and stitching regularly and follow the manufacturer’s guidance for folding and storage.
