Peltonen Acadia Skate NIS Hart 2023 2024

The Peltonen Acadia Skate is a cross-country ski for the skating technique. This version has a stiff flex and is aimed at active recreational skiers and regular training over longer distances. When choosing a ski, body weight, technique and appropriate stiffness matter alongside the length.

For the 2023/24 collection, Peltonen describes the Acadia Skate with an AirCell core, a Universal profile and a PRG 3600 base. The lengths offered here are 167, 174, 181, 188 and 193 cm. Its profile is intended for varied skating use, while the base needs glide preparation matched to the snow conditions. The NIS plate provides the mounting platform for a suitable cross-country binding.

Have the length and flex selected for your body weight including equipment. A stiff ski is not automatically the right choice for every heavier skier or every technique. Check that your binding, mounting plate and boot sole are compatible. Before setting off, inspect the binding attachment and remove ice or dirt from the system. Let the skis dry after training, check the base regularly and adapt preparation to the snow and temperature so the equipment is ready for your next session.
