Selle Royal Scientia Athletic Unisex Bicycle Saddle

The Selle Royal Scientia Athletic is a bicycle saddle for a forward-leaning athletic riding position. The offered S, M and L sizes make selecting the appropriate version an important part of ordering. The Scientia range distinguishes saddles by riding posture and width, so your position on the bicycle and sit-bone spacing matter more than the name of an individual size model. This black unisex design has an elongated saddle body with a recessed centre section.

Version and details

• Selle Royal Scientia Athletic saddle family.
• For a forward-leaning riding posture of approximately 45°.
• Offered variants: S, M and L.
• Black unisex design.
• Elongated shape with a recessed centre section.

Selection and use

Have your sit-bone spacing measured for saddle selection and compare it with the required version. If you are unsure about the exact saddle width, ask us for help before ordering. Also check that the rails are suitable for your seatpost clamp. Adjust height, tilt and fore-aft position gradually, then assess the result on a shorter ride. A different saddle alone does not address every possible source of discomfort.

Care and inspection

Clean the surface with a soft damp cloth and avoid aggressive cleaners. Inspect the rails and clamp regularly. Tighten fastenings according to both saddle and seatpost instructions, and have damaged parts assessed before continuing to use them.
