Salewa Trekking Gaiter

The black Salewa Trekking Gaiter is a tall gaiter for trekking and mountain walking. It provides extended coverage across the junction between boot and trousers, helping keep moisture and dirt out of this area. Model reference 2114 uses 150D polyester mini ripstop. A Hypalon underfoot strap and tunnel fixation system hold the gaiter in position around the boot.

Selection and use

Fit the gaiter over the boot collar and trouser leg and adjust it to the walking boot being used. The heel flex zone accommodates movement at the rear. Adjust the sole strap so the lower edge stays around the boot rather than riding up while walking. Check all fastenings before the tour. The 41 cm height is a product dimension; the actual fit also depends on boot and leg shape.

Care and checks

Remove surface dirt gently and let the gaiters dry completely after use. Check the underfoot strap and fastenings regularly, particularly after walking over sharp stones. Store the gaiters dry and follow the care label when cleaning them. Correct adjustment protects the junction between boot and trouser leg and keeps loose parts from interfering with your stride.
