Pomoca Twin Tip Tail Hook

The Pomoca Twin Tip Tail Hook is a rear attachment hook for climbing skins on twin-tip skis. It fits the appropriate existing Back Fix strap, replacing the conventional tail hook. Its shape is designed around the upturned ski tail. This allows a suitable Pomoca skin attachment to be adapted specifically for a twin tip without replacing the entire skin.

Selection and use

First check the strap and the shape of the ski tail. Remove the existing Back Fix hook according to Pomoca’s instructions and feed the strap into the Twin Tip Tail Hook. Then adjust the required tension and check that it sits securely on the tail. Suitability depends on the specific attachment and ski contour. The rear hook works together with an appropriate skin and front attachment.

Care and checks

Remove snow and ice before hooking it in place, and inspect the hook and strap for damage. After conversion, check both skis and the alignment of the skins. Let the components dry after touring and store them clean. Replace damaged or worn attachment parts before the next use, following the instructions for the corresponding skin system.
