Merrell Trail Glove 7 - talus

The Merrell Trail Glove 7 in Talus is a minimalist men’s running shoe for paths and trails. Manufacturer reference J068695 identifies this version. Its Barefoot 2 construction and low platform are intended for runners seeking a more direct connection with the ground. Assess whether this type of shoe suits your running style through an individual fitting and gradual familiarisation.

The breathable mesh upper, lining, laces and webbing use recycled materials according to the manufacturer. A lightweight FloatPro midsole combines with FLEXconnect flex grooves. A Vibram EcoStep Recycle outsole and the specified total stack height of 14 mm complete the model. The bellows tongue helps reduce dirt entry, while the external support construction assists heel retention.

When trying it on, check toe room, heel fit and lacing with your normal running socks. Increase use of a minimalist shoe gradually and choose distance and surfaces appropriate to your experience. After use, remove loose dirt and allow the shoes to dry at room temperature. Avoid radiators and strong direct heat. Inspect the tread regularly; even a grippy outsole cannot guarantee traction on wet, icy or loose surfaces.
