Optimus Windschutz für Vega & Polaris Optifuel

The Optimus wind foil for Vega and compatible Polaris setups is a folding aluminium windshield. It is positioned around the stove to reduce crosswinds at the cooking area. Two adjustment positions help adapt it to the pot size. Once cool, the flat-folding material packs into a compact cooking kit. Manufacturer reference 8018802 identifies this separate stove accessory.

Selection and use

Check the stove instructions and use the windshield only in the intended arrangement. Set up the stove securely outdoors and maintain the required clearance from the flame, pot and fuel system. Adjust the opening for the pot size and keep the stove’s airflow unobstructed. A wind foil does not replace choosing an appropriate cooking location.

Care and inspection

Allow every component to cool completely before folding. Remove food residue and moisture before packing it away. Avoid sharp creases and check the edges for damage so the foil can be shaped correctly the next time it is used.
