DESCRIPTION
NEWMEN Advanced SL X.A.25 and X.A.30 are the further developments of our popular and proven Advanced SL X.22 carbon rim. The goal was to create the fastest possible wheelsets and rims for XC and marathon use. An important factor in the quest for seconds is the right rim width. This is essential for the lowest possible tire pressures, which provide plenty of grip with low rolling resistance without the tire walking unpleasantly in corners or risking pinch flats. For this reason, the X.22 rim is not followed by one but two successors. On our test drives, the 25mm inner width for tires up to 2.20" and the 30mm inner width for tires from 2.25" proved ideal. Through optimized wall thicknesses around the entire rim, we were able to achieve an industry-leading ratio of weight to stability. The excellent stability even allows use on weight-optimized trail bikes and the flat profiles provide the necessary comfort in demanding trail use while still delivering outstanding responsiveness on acceleration.

All new Advanced SL and Evolution SL wheelsets are based on our new NEWMEN Evolution SL hubs with FADE freehub. This is so reliable and stable that we approve all FADE hubs without restriction for e-bikes. At the same time, noise levels have been reduced to a minimum through optimized component geometry. Besides the pleasant feeling of riding a quiet bike, there are even practical advantages: the tire grip in corners can literally be heard, creating a completely new riding feel. In mass-start races like marathons, you also don't unnecessarily draw attention to yourself from the rider ahead. The hubs have double-sealed ball bearings with particularly low tolerances and special grease fill to enable maximum durability.
