Description

The Arva Skitrip 240 V2 is an avalanche probe for ski touring, freeriding and other journeys through snowy terrain. Eight short sections assemble into a probe with a deployed length of 2.40 metres. Its compact sections make it easier to stow in a backpack, while the pull handle and RACK LOCK system help tension the probe. Depth markings provide a reference when probing. It belongs in a carefully selected rescue kit whose use is practised regularly.

Version and details

  • Model SOSKI240V2 with aluminium sections
  • Deployed length 240 cm, with eight 30 cm sections
  • Tube diameter 12 mm; manufacturer weight approximately 290 g
  • Steel tension cord, RACK LOCK and readable depth markings

Selection and use

Pack the probe where it can be reached promptly. Practise full assembly and locking before your trip, following the manufacturer instructions. Select your probe, shovel and avalanche transceiver as a coordinated rescue kit, and keep your avalanche rescue skills current through practical training.

Care and inspection

Inspect the sections, joints, cord and locking mechanism before use. Dry the separated sections after use and follow Arva maintenance instructions. Have damaged equipment or an unreliable lock checked or replaced before taking the probe on another trip.

Shipping & advice

In-stock items usually ship from our warehouse within 1 to 3 working days. If the item is in stock in one of our stores, you can also pick it up there free of charge. In Pfronten this also works for items that are only in stock in Ronsberg: we bring them over, which usually takes 2 to 4 days. The pickup note above and the checkout show where and when you can pick up. Skis with binding mounting take a little longer: we mount them carefully and let you know as soon as your set is on its way. Personal advice is available by appointment in our store in Ronsberg. Details in our shipping policy.

Statutory warranty rights apply, plus the manufacturer's guarantee where one is granted. You can return unused items within 14 days of receipt; register the return in your customer account. We refund the purchase price of the items minus a 5 € return fee (6.90 € from abroad); you receive the return label from us. Skis mounted according to your details are excluded from exchange.
