Arva Race 240 V2

The ARVA RACE 240 V2 is a compact avalanche probe with a 240 cm length. Reference SORAC240V2 is designed for weight-conscious ski-mountaineering use. ARVA specifies a weight of 120 g and a tube diameter of 10 mm for this model. Its segmented construction folds for transport inside a backpack.

Selection and use

Become familiar with assembly and locking before an outing by following ARVA’s instructions. Practise handling regularly as part of proper avalanche training. Pack the probe so it remains accessible in an emergency. A probe is part of avalanche rescue equipment and does not replace a transceiver, shovel, route planning or training.

Care and inspection

Inspect the segments, joints and locking mechanism for damage before use. Clean and dry the probe after use and store it carefully. Follow the manufacturer’s instructions for maintenance and assessing whether it remains fit for use. Have damaged equipment checked by a competent person before taking it on another outing.

In-stock items usually ship from our warehouse within 1 to 3 working days. If the item is in stock in one of our stores, you can also pick it up there free of charge. In Pfronten this also works for items that are only in stock in Ronsberg: we bring them over, which usually takes 2 to 4 days.
