Pieps T Shovel 500

The PIEPS Shovel T500 is an avalanche shovel with a T-handle and a stated total weight of 500 g. An oval telescopic shaft with a Quick Lock System complements its ribbed blade. Version 110044 is intended for tourers who want a packable shovel as part of their avalanche rescue equipment.

Selection and use

Practise assembling and locking the shovel before a tour. Pack the pieces where you can reach them while wearing gloves. Check that the connection is fully locked before shovelling. Train with the shovel, probe and transceiver together. A shovel alone does not replace the rest of the rescue equipment, informed tour planning or practical training.

Care and inspection

Remove snow and moisture after use and let all parts dry. Inspect the shaft, locking mechanism and blade for damage. Follow PIEPS’ instructions, particularly for additional functions. Have deformed parts or connections that do not lock securely assessed before your next tour.

In-stock items usually ship from our warehouse within 1 to 3 working days. If the item is in stock in one of our stores, you can also pick it up there free of charge. In Pfronten this also works for items that are only in stock in Ronsberg: we bring them over, which usually takes 2 to 4 days. The pickup note above and the checkout show where and when you can pick up.
