Size help

Find my boot size

Measure both feet and use the manufacturer chart for this model. Length, width and volume all affect the fit.

Measure children’s feet afresh and use the appropriate manufacturer chart. Sizing up for growth may compromise support.

A reviewed size recommendation is not yet available for this model. Use the measuring guide to prepare, then ask our team for help choosing.

Check when trying on

  • Try both boots with the socks you will wear when skiing.
  • Check heel hold and pressure points in your skiing stance. Pain or numbness is not a suitable fit.
  • For a difficult fit, a personal fitting and boot fitting service can help.

Measure both feet

Place your heel against a wall and measure to the longest toe. Measure each foot separately.
  1. Place paper against a wall and stand on it with one heel touching the wall.
  2. Put weight on the foot, bend your knee slightly and mark your longest toe. Measure from the wall to the mark in millimetres.
  3. Repeat for the other foot. Note both lengths and, if needed, the width at the widest part of each forefoot.

Three different measurements

Foot length · mm
The measured distance from your heel to your longest toe. Your two feet may have different lengths.
Mondopoint · MP
A sizing system based on foot length, usually shown in centimetres for ski boots. Use the chart for the exact model.
External sole length · mm
The outside length of the shell used for binding adjustment. Read it from the boot. It is neither foot length nor Mondopoint size.

Description

The Rossignol Comp J1 is a junior ski boot for children taking their first steps on alpine skis. This white version with pink details combines a soft flex with an easy-to-use single-buckle closure. The front buckle and opening help with getting the boot on and off. A thermoformed liner completes a construction designed around small feet.

Version and details

  • Junior alpine ski boot with manufacturer reference RBM6030.
  • Flex index 30 and one Memo buckle.
  • Thermoformed liner designed around a child’s fit.
  • White shell with pink accents and a straightforward closure.

Selection and use

Choose the size using foot length, foot shape and a proper fitting. Excessive room for growth can reduce support, so everyday shoe size alone is not enough. Check the fit with appropriate ski socks. Have a qualified ski shop assess sole and binding compatibility and set up the equipment for the particular child and ski system.

Care and inspection

Remove snow and dirt after skiing and dry the liner according to the manufacturer’s instructions. Keep the shell and liner away from excessive heat. Inspect the buckle, sole and visible plastic parts for damage or wear. Store the boot dry with the buckle loosely closed, and reassess the fit regularly as the child grows.

Skis with binding mounting take a little longer: we mount them carefully and let you know as soon as your set is on its way. Personal advice is available by appointment in our store in Ronsberg. Details in our shipping policy.

We refund the purchase price of the items minus a 5 € return fee (6.90 € from abroad); you receive the return label from us. Skis mounted according to your details are excluded from exchange.
