Identify your ski and boot

Read the external sole length from the boot. The appropriate brake width depends on the ski width under the binding.
  1. Note your ski model and length. Find the waist width in millimetres and the interface or plate in the manufacturer’s specifications.
  2. Note your boot model and sole standard. Read the external sole length in millimetres directly from the shell.
  3. If a detail is missing, select “I don’t know”. Our team can check the combination using model information or photos.

Three different measurements

Foot length · mm
The measured distance from your heel to your longest toe. Your two feet may have different lengths.
Mondopoint · MP
A sizing system based on foot length, usually shown in centimetres for ski boots. Use the chart for the exact model.
External sole length · mm
The outside length of the shell used for binding adjustment. Read it from the boot. It is neither foot length nor Mondopoint size.

Description

The Salomon SNS Pilot Junior is a cross-country ski binding for children and younger skiers. It combines a manually operated lever with the SNS Pilot system. The junior version shown has a second attachment axis with a Control Link and an SPS plate. Its junior flex is designed for use by young skiers.

Choosing compatible boots and skis

You need a cross-country boot that is compatible with this SNS Pilot binding. Check the system marking on both the boot and the binding before buying; boot size alone does not establish compatibility. Have a specialist shop check ski suitability and carry out the mounting correctly. Matching the complete setup is particularly important for children’s equipment.

Care after skiing

Remove snow and dirt after your outing and let the equipment dry. Before skiing again, check that the lever, attachment points and guide move freely and show no visible damage. Have damaged or unusual components checked by a specialist shop before further use, and follow the manufacturer’s instructions.
