Holmenkol BaseBrush Rosshaar

The HOLMENKOL BaseBrush Rosshaar is a rectangular hand brush with horsehair bristles for ski and snowboard maintenance. It is intended for brushing in and brushing out glide waxes and suitable speed-powder products. Its manual format is useful when preparing individual skis and carrying out finishing work at the bench. Select the brush for the particular preparation step and the wax being used.

Role in the preparation sequence

The horsehair version is used for the brushing step specified for the wax. With powder products, follow the instructions for that particular product. The brush helps expose or work on the base structure during the intended step. It forms part of a coordinated waxing sequence. Whether another brush is needed afterwards depends on the instructions for the wax.

Use and care

Secure the ski or snowboard so that the base is easy to reach. Brush according to the relevant preparation instructions, removing loosened wax residue and dirt from the working area. Use controlled pressure rather than forcing the bristles hard into the base.

Keep the brush clean and remove accumulated residue regularly. Store it dry and without leaving the bristles bent or compressed. A clean brush helps avoid transferring previously removed dirt back onto the base during the next step. Its bristle material and intended preparation stage distinguish this brush from other versions in the BaseBrush range.
