Grivel Rock Safety Plume

The Grivel Rock Safety Plume is a compact aluminium carabiner with a manual screw lock. Reference RSK3N identifies the Plume Nut K3N. The product image shows an orange body and dark locking sleeve. The manufacturer’s instructions list approximately 37g and strength ratings of 20kN on the major axis with the gate closed, 7kN on the minor axis and 7kN with the gate open. These values refer to different test directions rather than a general permitted working load.

Selection and use

Selecting it as part of climbing equipment requires appropriate training and assessment of the complete system. Follow the markings on the actual carabiner and the corresponding Grivel instructions. Inspect the body, gate and lock before and after use. Unknown history, visible damage or a major loading event require professional assessment or retirement in accordance with the manufacturer’s rules.

Care and inspection

Clean gently according to Grivel’s instructions and dry fully in a shaded, ventilated place. Keep it away from aggressive chemicals and excessive heat. Store dry and protected, with a traceable use history. Cleaning does not replace regular inspection of safety equipment.
