Grivel AXE GUARD
Description
The Grivel Axe Guard covers sharp areas around an ice axe head. This plastic cover is intended for transport and storage, separating the pick and adze from backpack fabric and other luggage. It lets you pack a compatible axe without leaving its sharp edges exposed among the rest of your equipment.

Selection and use
Check the fit on your particular axe before packing it. The cover should reach the intended sharp areas and stay in place while you carry the tool. Also consider the spike at the bottom of the shaft, which is not covered by a head protector. Secure the axe inside or outside the backpack so that it cannot move around freely while walking.
Care and inspection
Remove snow and dirt before fitting the guard. Regularly check the cover for cracks or deformation and store it dry. Remove it before using the axe. This accessory is for carrying and storage; it does not change the axe’s suitability or condition for a particular outing.
Shipping & advice
In-stock items usually ship from our warehouse within 1 to 3 working days. If the item is in stock in one of our stores, you can also pick it up there free of charge. In Pfronten this also works for items that are only in stock in Ronsberg: we bring them over, which usually takes 2 to 4 days. The pickup note above and the checkout show where and when you can pick up. Skis with binding mounting take a little longer: we mount them carefully and let you know as soon as your set is on its way. Personal advice is available by appointment in our store in Ronsberg. We accept all major credit cards, PayPal, Klarna and Shop Pay. With Shop Pay you can pay for your purchase in interest-free instalments.
Warranty & returns
Statutory warranty rights apply, plus the manufacturer's guarantee where one is granted. You can return unused items within 14 days of receipt; register the return in your customer account. We refund the purchase price of the items minus a 5 € return fee (6.90 € from abroad); you receive the return label from us. Skis mounted according to your details are excluded from exchange.
