Grivel A&D Ascender/Descender, rechte Hand

The Grivel A&D combines an ascender with a manually braked descent function. This right-hand version has the yellow or gold-coloured body identified by model reference RTADR. Its ergonomic grip aids handling. The two operating modes have different procedures and rope requirements, so appropriate training and the complete manufacturer instructions are essential before use. Select this device as part of a compatible rope system and practise its operation in a controlled setting.

Selection and use

Check the rope routing and the function of the fully assembled system before each use. The device does not automatically block the rope during descent. Maintain the prescribed braking control and obtain instruction from a qualified person. This product description cannot replace the operating manual.

Care and inspection

Inspect the body, moving parts and grip for damage, dirt and wear. Clean and store the device as directed by Grivel. After an exceptional load, or whenever its operation is in doubt, obtain a competent assessment before using it again.

In-stock items usually ship from our warehouse within 1 to 3 working days. If the item is in stock in one of our stores, you can also pick it up there free of charge. In Pfronten this also works for items that are only in stock in Ronsberg: we bring them over, which usually takes 2 to 4 days. The pickup note above and the checkout show where and when you can pick up. Skis with binding mounting take a little longer: we mount them carefully and let you know as soon as your set is on its way. Personal advice is available by appointment in our store in Ronsberg. Statutory warranty rights apply, plus the manufacturer's guarantee where one is granted. You can return unused items within 14 days of receipt; register the return in your customer account. We refund the purchase price of the items minus a 5 € return fee (6.90 € from abroad); you receive the return label from us. Skis mounted according to your details are excluded from exchange.
