FOX FLOAT X Factory 2022, 230 × 57.5 mm

The FOX FLOAT X Factory from model year 2022 combines an EVOL air spring with manually controlled damping. Version 979-01-049 has a 230 mm eye-to-eye length, 57.5 mm stroke and standard eyelet mounting. The two-position lever provides an additional adjustment for different riding situations. The gold-coloured Kashima surface identifies the Factory construction. Choose this size only for a frame designed for the exact eye-to-eye length and stroke. Clearance, mounting hardware and suspension tune also need to suit the intended combination.

Selection and use

Compare eye-to-eye length, stroke, mounting type and clearance with your frame’s requirements. Also check the mounting hardware and suitable suspension tune. Have installation and initial setup carried out professionally. A similar shape or matching eye-to-eye length alone is not enough to establish compatibility. Check operation in a safe setting before the first ride.

Care and inspection

Keep moving areas clean and follow the FOX service instructions. Regularly inspect fastenings, seals and visible surfaces. Match service intervals to the model and conditions of use. Do not open the shock yourself. Have oil leakage, damage or a change in suspension response checked by a specialist before further riding.

In-stock items usually ship from our warehouse within 1 to 3 working days. If the item is in stock in one of our stores, you can also pick it up there free of charge. In Pfronten this also works for items that are only in stock in Ronsberg: we bring them over, which usually takes 2 to 4 days. The pickup note above and the checkout show where and when you can pick up.
