The Comp 40 Flex is a length-adjustable rear kickstand for bicycles with the corresponding direct mounting point. This version adjusts for wheel sizes from 20 to 29 inches and uses 40 mm mounting-hole spacing. The black aluminium stand supports everyday bicycle parking. The manufacturer specifies the Flex range as suitable for e-bikes and rated for loads up to 50 kg.

Selection and use

First check the frame mounting point and the bicycle manufacturer’s approval for fitting a stand. Hole spacing must match; wheel size alone does not establish suitability. Adjust the length on level ground so the bicycle rests stably towards the stand. Also check it with the load normally carried. Fully retract the stand and check clearance to the crank, tyre and chain before riding.

Care and checks

Remove dirt gently with a suitable mild cleaner and dry the component afterwards. Regularly inspect fastenings and stressed areas for looseness, wear or damage. Recheck operation after a fall or a substantial impact. Follow the instructions for the component and bicycle when installing, adjusting and maintaining it.
