Schwalbe High-Pressure rim tape 22-584 (27.5 inch)

The Schwalbe High-Pressure rim tape in 22-584 is intended for compatible 27.5-inch rims with a 22 mm tape width. It covers the spoke holes in the rim bed and protects the inner tube from mechanical damage. Choose the width according to the actual rim bed; wheel diameter alone does not determine the correct tape.

Selection and fitting

Check the internal width and condition of the rim before fitting. The tape must fully cover the holes requiring protection and must not move when the tube is inserted. Align the valve opening and then check seating around the entire circumference. Also observe the pressure limits of the tyre and rim; the tape rating does not override a lower limit on another component. This rim tape is not described as an airtight tubeless sealing tape.

Care and inspection

At every tube or tyre change, inspect the rim tape for movement, tears and damage around the holes. Replace damaged tape before riding again. Remove dirt and sharp objects from the rim bed before inserting the new inner tube.
