Contec CPI-034 Pedale

The CONTEC CPI-034 is a touring and trekking pedal with an aluminium body and a chromoly axle. Its slip-resistant platform is intended for suitable everyday footwear. Sealed cartridge bearings and side reflectors complete the equipment. The black and silver version combines an open construction with a defined platform area.

Features and version

• 9/16-inch thread.
• Aluminium body; chromoly axle.
• Sealed cartridge bearings.
• Slip-resistant platform and reflectors.

Selection and fitting

Compare the thread with your cranks and check that the platform suits your footwear and intended riding. Observe the left and right markings during installation because the thread directions differ. Start each pedal straight and fit it in accordance with the crank and pedal manufacturers’ instructions. Correct engagement matters more than quickly winding the pedal into place.

Care and checks

Before riding, check secure installation and free rotation. Keep the platforms and reflectors clean and inspect them regularly for wear or damage. Remove dirt with a soft cloth and follow the pedal’s care instructions. Unusual play or noise should be checked before further use. Try the platforms with the shoes you normally wear on the bike.
