Crankbrothers Gem Handpumpe black

The Crankbrothers Gem is a compact hand pump with selectable high-volume and high-pressure modes. Volume mode supports initial inflation, while pressure mode is used as resistance rises. Its head converts between Presta and Schrader valves. The black Midnight version of the Gem S is identified by manufacturer reference 16251. A bracket is provided for mounting the pump on the bicycle.

Selection and use

Identify the valve type and configure the pump head before use. Volume mode is intended for the initial pumping stage; switch to pressure mode as resistance increases. The selection refers to air volume and pumping pressure. Keep the valve as straight as possible while pumping and observe the tyre and rim pressure limits. Check the resulting pressure with an appropriate gauge when needed.

Care and checks

Remove dirt gently with a suitable mild cleaner and dry the component afterwards. Regularly inspect fastenings and stressed areas for looseness, wear or damage. Recheck operation after a fall or a substantial impact. Follow the instructions for the component and bicycle when installing, adjusting and maintaining it.
