Black Diamond Vapor Octane

The Black Diamond Vapor in Octane is a ventilated climbing helmet in the BD620008 version. The construction shown here combines a polycarbonate outer shell with EPS foam. Open, geometrically arranged ventilation areas allow air to circulate on climbing and mountaineering outings. An adjustable retention system helps fit the helmet to the head, while headlamp clips hold a suitable light.

Selection and use

Choose the helmet size using your head circumference and the manufacturer’s size marking. Try it on with the straps correctly adjusted; it should sit securely without uncomfortable pressure. Also check that your headlamp fits the attachment points. Follow the manufacturer’s instructions supplied with this version for fitting and use.

Care and inspection

Inspect the shell, foam, straps and fastenings before use. Follow the manufacturer’s instructions for cleaning, storage and replacement. Keep the helmet away from high heat and unsuitable cleaning agents. If it is damaged or its history is uncertain, have its condition assessed before further use.

In-stock items usually ship from our warehouse within 1 to 3 working days. If the item is in stock in one of our stores, you can also pick it up there free of charge. In Pfronten this also works for items that are only in stock in Ronsberg: we bring them over, which usually takes 2 to 4 days. The pickup note above and the checkout show where and when you can pick up.
