A legendary design
The heart of all models is the original BIRKENSTOCK footbed.
The construction, carefully thought out down to the smallest detail and modeled after the natural footprint of a foot in sand, helps your feet get through many hours in shoes with minimal strain.
This supports health and promotes well-being.

Deep heel cup
The particularly deep shape in the heel area supports the foot tissue and keeps the heel bone stable in its natural position.
As a result, the foot in a sandal has almost as much support as in a closed shoe.

Heel bar
Activates the calf muscles, stabilizes the rear foot, and improves stride and coordination.

Inner and outer longitudinal arch supports
The arch supports running lengthwise to the sides of the footbed enclose the tarsal bones inside and outside.
This gives the foot the necessary stability when stepping.

Transverse arch support
The support running across the middle of the footbed stabilizes the metatarsal bones.
In this way, the transverse arch support promotes a natural, straight, and firm stance of the foot.

Toe grips
The front part of the footbed in the toe area is equipped with intermediate elevations.
Thanks to the toe grippers, toes remain relaxed and spread in their natural position. In addition, the elevations support the natural rolling motion of the toes.

Bedding edge
At the front, the footbed is pulled particularly high upward.
The high bedding edge protects the toes during the roll movement.
