DESCRIPTION

The Wildfire edge is a shoe for technical approaches,
that can transform from a hiking shoe into a climbing shoe.
The Salewa Switchfit system is as simple as it is clever and was developed together with mountain guides
and top climbers in the Dolomites:
Simply pull the laces together at the rear loop and upward.
This pulls your foot forward into the toe cap,
compressing your toes like in a climbing shoe.
 After climbing, you can loosen the laces at the rear loop,
so the toe cap widens and offers greater wearing comfort for hiking.
To improve climbing precision, the Wildfire edge is also equipped with an edging plate,
an insole plate under the forefoot that provides additional stiffness under the toes.

The Pomoca Speed MTN sole works thanks to Pomoca butyl compound with improved grip
and higher friction in dry and wet weather.
The sole has a precision climbing zone in the toe area, good edging performance
and aggressive lugs for improved traction on muddy and soft terrain.
For better torsional rigidity, the outer material consists of Exa Shell,
which, in combination with the 3-F system, wraps around your foot and provides flexibility, fit, and support.
The climbing shoe lacing system extends to the toes to provide a more precise fit
and more customization options.
The multi fit footbed plus (MFF+) uses interchangeable layers,
so you can adapt it to the individual shape of your foot,
and bears the SALEWA trademark Alpine Fit with 100% blister-free guarantee.
