the Alp Trainer 2 is a progressive hiking boot with mid-high shaft, robust high-quality suede and stretch upper material, and a waterproof, breathable GORE-TEX® Extended Comfort lining that reliably protects you on different terrain and under changing conditions.
A generous rubber rim offers additional protection from rock edges and scree.

Adaptable and comfortable
The shoe offers a precise fit, wraps your foot securely, provides support, and is comfortable from the first wear. 
SALEWA's proprietary, patented 3F System includes a steel cable and provides firm ankle support and lateral stability, while the Flex Collar gives your ankle more freedom of movement backward and increases comfort when descending.
Furthermore, with the adjustable SALEWA® Multi Fit Footbed Plus (MFF+), you can choose between different insoles and adjust the shoe volume to suit you.
The climbing-shoe lacing system also allows individual tightening down to your toes – for better performance on technical terrain.

Improved grip and traction
The optimized Vibram® Alpine Hiking outsole, offered only by SALEWA®, improves performance and control on very different alpine terrain.
With its special climbing, traction and braking zones and aggressive lug design, it impresses even under wet and muddy conditions.
