Climbing precision
By combining adaptive memory foams with pre-shaped thermoplastic inserts and an Ortholite footbed, the AST – Adaptive Shape Technology – adapts the Sulfur precisely to every foot shape
The Sulfur was crafted around an anatomical last and is equipped with Edge Frame technology and a Vibram® Megagrip™ outsole with a climbing zone that significantly improves climbing performance.

Climbing performance meets hiking walking function
The Edge Frame plate positioned above the midsole provides stiffness and support when climbing while still allowing free bending of the shoe when walking.

The longitudinal elements promote stiffness and torsional stability in the toe and midfoot area.
The crossed cut-out arrangements allow more flexibility in the midfoot area.

Hiking comfort
The midsole consists of two different densities.
The softer EVA component at the heel provides cushioning and ground conformance to ensure optimal walking comfort.
The midsole and outsole are equipped with a forward-oriented sole profile to enable a smoother transition from heel to toe and thus longer hiking with greater comfort.
