Description
Mountaineering in higher altitudes where ice, snow and mixed passages alternate places not only the highest demands on our skills but also on our equipment. We developed the Ortles Light Mid Powertex specifically for mountaineers who want to move quickly in this terrain. The lightweight, comfortable mid-cut mountain boot is extremely technical and at the same time agile – and thus covers a wide range of applications: from rocky terrain to demanding routes in snow and ice.
The Pomoca Alpine Light outsole provides improved grip and traction on varied terrain, while the cushioning EVA midsole guarantees high wearing comfort during quick activities. The ankle support wraps around the foot, provides stability and protects against rock and scree.
Salewa's new Edging Plate 2 technology combines high rigidity, which improves edge stability and precision when climbing, with balanced flex and good rolling motion for high comfort when walking. In addition, the heel stabilizer, which at the same time enables the attachment of crampons, provides improved grip on rocky terrain.
Our specially developed 3F System increases grip and stability in the heel area, while the Multi Fit Footbed Plus (MFF+) and 3D lacing enable individual lacing and adjustment for even more wearing comfort.
On the outside, a durable nylon fabric with high-strength and abrasion-resistant TPU seams and TPU films/overlay are used, as is a protective rubber edge – with the total weight and material thickness kept as low as possible. The elastic gaiter keeps dirt and small stones out.
This waterproof mountain boot has a PFC-free Powertex membrane, laces made from recycled materials and other recycled components. This makes the Ortles Light Mid Powertex stand out with a low ecological footprint – and is the first boot to be part of the Salewa Committed Collection.

Shipping & advice
In-stock items usually ship from our warehouse within 1 to 3 working days. Skis with binding mounting take a little longer: we mount them carefully and let you know as soon as your set is on its way. Warranty & returns
Statutory warranty rights apply, plus the manufacturer's guarantee where one is granted. You can return unused items within 14 days of receipt; register the return in your customer account. We refund the purchase price of the items minus a 5 € return fee (6.90 € from abroad); you receive the return label from us. Skis mounted according to your details are excluded from exchange.
