Salewa Ortles Ascent Mid W black/black

Tre Cime, Marmolada, Cinque Torri, Tofana: The Dolomites have some really fantastic adventures to offer that take you over rock, ice and snow – challenging conditions and difficult terrain are often on the agenda.

The Ortles Ascent Mid Gore-Tex® mountaineering boot is a solid solution for high-alpine touring. The upper made of thick suede leather and the SALEWA® 3F System with steel wires and reinforced edge make it particularly robust and durable. The stiff insole made of fiberglass and carbon fiber-reinforced nylon and the midsole made of double-density polyurethane guarantee you more stability and pleasant comfort. Furthermore, the Multi Fit Footbed Plus (MFF+) can be personalized through its interchangeable soles, which allow you to fine-tune the fit.

The waterproof, breathable GORE-TEX® Insulated Comfort membrane has an integrated insulation layer that keeps your feet pleasantly warm and dry in winter mountain conditions. And the stretch gaiter on the tongue prevents snow from entering the boot. For additional descent performance, the Flex Collar supports the bending of the rear ankle, while the Ankle Protector System (APS) with its thermoformed cuff provides additional support.

The Vibram® Alpine Guide sole was developed for grip, durability and reliability, ensuring precision and stability even on challenging terrain and in low temperatures. It can be combined with semi-automatic crampons. The tread features self-cleaning lugs for excellent grip and a climbing-designed toe tread for high edge performance.
