The Ortles Ascent Mid Gore-Tex® mountaineering boot is a solid solution for alpinists.
Its upper made from thick suede leather, the SALEWA® 3F-System with steel wires
and the reinforced TPU edge make it particularly robust and durable,
while the stiff insole made from glass- and carbon-fiber-reinforced nylon further increases stability.
The expanded polyurethane midsole with double density and specially adapted,
padded zones guarantee you comfort and precision.
Through the interchangeable layers of the multi fit footbed plus (MFF+)
the shoe's insole can be individually adjusted.

The Vibram® Alpine guide sole is compatible with semi-automatic crampons
and provides grip, durability, and reliability in difficult terrain
and at low temperatures. Its overall robustness is a key factor
for use with crampons on snow and ice.
The profile features self-cleaning lugs for excellent grip
and a climbing-oriented toe profile with high edge performance.

The waterproof, breathable GORE-TEX® insulated comfort membrane features
an additional insulation layer that keeps your feet pleasantly warm and dry on cold winter days in the mountains.
An integrated stretch gaiter prevents snow from entering.
The ankle protector system (APS) consists of a cuff made from thermoformed material,
which provides additional lateral support to your ankle, and the Flex Collar improves mobility in the rear ankle area.
