The Makra Pro lady GTX is suitable for demanding mountain tours with glacier passages as well as for easier high and rock tours in summer. The lightweight and stable all-rounder is equipped with waterproof GORE-TEX membrane and durable Perwanger upper leather. For the light yet particularly stable midsole, a combination of PU, TPU, and EVA is used. PU in the heel – with integrated crampon attachment made of TPU – provides perfect cushioning, EVA in the forefoot for precision during takeoff. Excellent grip is provided by the Vibram® Makra outsole. A dream team! "Hanwag 2 Zone Lock" with a mechanical clamp ensures improved heel grip. Unlike a conventional clamp hook, the mechanical clamp reliably locks and cannot slip after fixation – without manual intervention. A hallmark of the Makra family is the optimized gilly lacing down to the toe area – the laces are drawn through textile loops. The foot thus also has good hold in the forefoot area and in a mid-high model and you stand stably in the shoe. The alpine wide last offers a slightly wider forefoot area for more comfort – however, the shoe does not lose climbing performance and precision during takeoff.
