Hanwag - Klarsby Bunion Lady GTX - navy/sky - Damen

Mid-height, lightweight hiking shoe – optimized for women with hallux valgus. As a fit specialist, HANWAG offers with the Klarsby Bunion Lady GTX a shoe for one of the most common forefoot deformities, the misalignment of the big toe. The waterproof leather hiking shoe was specially designed as a bunion model and impresses with numerous specific details. The bunion last offers more space for the metatarsophalangeal joint of the big toe and for the toes in general. With hallux valgus, the misaligned big toe often shifts the other toes – so they get more space overall upward, the toe box is raised and somewhat wider. Adapted to the last is the HANWAG Endurance Hike Bunion sole: it offers stability through a wide bearing surface as well as an excellently cushioning PU midsole. For relief of the big toe metatarsophalangeal joint, an increased bending rigidity in the forefoot provides it – this reduces the movement amplitude of the MTP joint during the rolling motion and thus avoids unnecessary pain. Additionally, the entire forefoot area including TPU rock protection is free of seams that might press on or chafe the sensitive big toe metatarsophalangeal joint. Comfortable hold is provided by adaptive ghillie lacing: during the rolling motion, the flexible textile loops adapt to the movement and thus allow a more natural foot movement. This can lead to more comfort when walking for people with hallux valgus. To increase comfort in the area of the big toe metatarsophalangeal joint and prevent pressure points, an additional padding material is incorporated between the leather and inner lining.
