Birko-Flor consists of easy-care and hygienic PVC plastic that is bonded on the inside with a soft, breathable fleece layer. The high-quality material is skin-friendly, provides a pleasant wearing feel, and is at the same time very durable.

The skin-friendly, flexible leather cover sole gently hugs your foot and adapts to its contours. The open-pore and thus particularly breathable surface allows a pleasant foot climate even during intense physical activity.
Cork is a renewable raw material obtained from the bark layer of the cork oak. The natural product is thermally insulating and has very good damping properties.

EVA (Ethylenvinyl acetate) is a high-quality, particularly lightweight, elastic plastic with excellent damping properties. This evens out minor ground unevenness and gently cushions steps in the walking motion.

MULTIPLE FRAME OPTIONS
In addition to the full carbon version of the BIG.NINE, Merida also offers its hardtails with LITE and TFS aluminum frames.
While the LITE frame features a similarly race-worthy geometry as the carbon model, the TFS frame offers a rather relaxed geometry with a shorter top tube and a higher head tube. This results in a more upright riding position and better overview.
The TFS frames are equipped with internal cable routing, "smooth welding" seams, a conified headset, brake mounts on the chain stay, and eyelets for fenders, a rack, and a kickstand.
DROPPER POST READY
All models from the BIG.NINE LITE frame level are equipped with a 30.9 mm seatpost.
The reinforced connection area between top and seat tube increases stiffness and allows the installation of a dropper seatpost, which provides additional security on steep descents.

Cables, sleeves, and brake lines are clamped under tension so they don't rattle when riding on rough terrain.
All cable entry points are completely interchangeable and work equally well with Di2, hydraulic lines, brake and shift cables.
