BBB Cycling BHT-05 Lenkerband RaceRibbon Gel schwarz

The BBB Cycling RaceRibbon Gel BHT-05 is a black tape for wrapped bicycle handlebars. The 3.5 mm thick tape combines a padded contact surface with a gel backing. It wraps around the bar to create a more comfortable interface between your hands and the handlebar. Finishing tape and bar-end plugs are included in the manufacturer’s specification for this model.

Version and details

• RaceRibbon Gel, model BHT-05.
• Black handlebar tape with a gel backing.
• Tape thickness: 3.5 mm.
• EVA foam cushioning at the hand contact area.
• Supplied with finishing tape and bar-end plugs.

Selection and use

Before wrapping, remove the old tape and inspect the bar, cables and control attachments. Plan the wrapping direction and overlap so that the tape lies evenly. Pay particular attention around the brake hoods to avoid exposed gaps or hard folds. Secure the ends and fit the plugs correctly. Check the grip while stationary and then on a short ride.

Care and inspection

Clean the surface gently and allow it to dry. Regularly check for twisting, lifting edges or worn-through areas. Replace worn tape and inspect the condition of the handlebar underneath whenever you remove an old wrap.
