Edelrid PES Sling 16mm

The Edelrid PES Sling 16 mm is a sewn polyester sling. Its 16 mm webbing is designed for robust handling and abrasion resistance. An integrated wear indicator provides an additional inspection feature: if abrasion exposes the red fibres inside the webbing, the sling must be replaced. This indicator supplements inspection rather than replacing a check of the complete sling.

Marking and care

Edelrid lists EN 354, EN 566 and EN 795 Type B for this model family. Permitted applications depend on the marking and instructions of the individual product.

Inspect the webbing, stitching and identification before and after use. Damage elsewhere also requires assessment according to the manufacturer's instructions, even when no red fibres are visible. Store the sling dry and protected from sunlight and chemicals. Follow the requirements for cleaning, service life and retirement.
