Blue Ice Mission Light Sling

The Blue Ice Mission Light is a narrow sling for climbing and mountaineering. Its flexible UHMWPE webbing packs compactly and can form part of an appropriate protection system. The offered 60 and 120 cm lengths let you select a version for the intended task. Correct use requires suitable knowledge and observance of the operating instructions.

Selection and use

Choose the length for your intended system and check the compatibility of every component. A sling is not a dynamic rope, and its strength rating must not be understood as approval for a direct fall onto it. Knots and unsuitable loading can reduce strength. The instructions explain permitted uses and limitations; seek guidance from a qualified person if you lack the necessary experience.

Care and checks

Inspect the webbing and stitching before every use for cuts, abrasion, heat damage or other deterioration. Retire the sling if you doubt its condition or history. Clean and dry it according to Blue Ice’s instructions, protecting it from sharp edges, chemicals and heat during storage and transport. Follow the manufacturer’s limits and consider production date and usage history when assessing continued use.

In-stock items usually ship from our warehouse within 1 to 3 working days. If the item is in stock in one of our stores, you can also pick it up there free of charge. In Pfronten this also works for items that are only in stock in Ronsberg: we bring them over, which usually takes 2 to 4 days. The pickup note above and the checkout show where and when you can pick up.
