The unique EPS molding process with latex coating enables a particularly defined frame shape, saves unnecessary material, and thus offers an excellent balance of stability to weight. The GiddyUp suspension makes the Scout shine on the trails, because even if the suspension isn't optimally tuned to the rider and terrain, it still works flawlessly. This was achieved by adjusting the curve, which also allows efficient pedaling and reduces chain effects. Small impacts are rigorously damped and mid-stroke support seems endless with a pleasant end progression. The suspension works so efficiently that a remote lever is unnecessary. The lightweight frame comes with an air damper that provides 140 mm of travel. The Scout can be ridden with both air and steel spring dampers and even allows 150 mm of travel with an appropriate damper. Sag can be adjusted from 25 to 35% to suit your own preferences, from playful and responsive to quiet and compensating. Another highlight of the Scout is the short seat tube, which allows for a long dropper post and unrestricted freedom of movement on the trails. An extra bracket for a spare tube or bar has been considered on the underside of the top tube. The bolted BSA bottom bracket, internally routed cables for shifting and dropper post, and external brake lines are service-friendly. The frame is protected by rubber guards on the downtube, seat and chainstays.
