steuersatz-40-tapered-tall-black
Cane Creek Headset 40 Tapered tall black

The black Cane Creek 40 Tapered Tall is offered here as a complete integrated headset with a tall upper cover. Manufacturer reference BAA0785K identifies the combination of IS41/28.6 at the top and IS52/40 at the bottom. These exact interfaces guide selection. Check your frame and fork specifications before buying, because a similar appearance or the word Tapered alone does not establish a correct match.

The Forty series uses aluminium components, sealed cartridge bearings and a sealed steel crown race. In this integrated configuration, the bearings sit in the corresponding seats within the head tube. Its tall cover is the Tall version and should not be treated as equivalent to the lower Short version when planning installation. The upper and lower bearings suit different interface dimensions, so select the headset as a correctly matched assembly.

Before installation, have the interfaces, crown-race seat and available steerer length checked. Follow Cane Creek's instructions for fitting and bearing preload. Once adjusted, steering should move freely without detectable play. Inspect bearings and seals regularly, and have looseness or stiff movement investigated. Specifications for other EC, ZS or IS configurations do not automatically apply to this particular headset.
